Vladimir Cora

Acaponeta, Nayarit, 1951. He trained at the Escuela de Pintura y Escultura in Tijuana and at La Esmeralda. A painter and sculptor of neo-figurative bent, he works in series: women of the tropics, still lifes, bathers, interiors and, since 2002, «Natura». He received an honourable mention at the first Rufino Tamayo Biennial, the Grand Prize of the first Ibero-American Painting Biennial in Miami and, in 1989, the Fine Arts Prize of the Government of Nayarit. A member of the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana, in 1999 he founded the Casa Museo Vladimir Cora in Acaponeta.
