British-born painter, critic and teacher based in Mexico City. By 1961 he was teaching figure drawing and the history of painting techniques —egg tempera among them— at Mexico City College. He worked chiefly in oil and acrylic on masonite. As a critic he wrote on Mexican painting for Artforum (1962) and Texas Quarterly (1969) and signed the column «The Gallery Goer» in the Mexico City daily The News.
