Active in Mexico City ca. 1885–1911. A painter and draughtsman trained at the Academia de San Carlos, a pupil of Félix Parra and José María Velasco. He was botanical illustrator for the Museo Nacional and painted, in pencil and watercolour, plant plates for the National Herbarium, as well as scenes of pre-Hispanic history and the Conquest such as «Sacrificio de españoles por mexicas» (1898). His work is in the collection of the Museo Nacional de Historia.
